he tail features diodes on its flexible extension, which allow sound to be transformed into electronic signals and transmitted to the brain for interpretation.

I personally use a CI from Med-El. I received my implant on 9/11/2015. I love my CI. Now, I can hear and understand complete complex sentences. I'm currently working on my music listening skills. I was almost completely deaf in my left ear and about 70% deaf in my right. I have a CI on my left and use a hearing aid on my right.
